National Board of Review

This slipped past me, but on December 2nd, the National Board of Review named it's 10 Best Films of the Year.  Pretty good crop, especially for crime fans. Even Toy Story 3 had a prison break sequence.  And I can't be the only one dying to see the Coen's spin on True Grit.

Ten Best Films
(in alphabetical order)

Another Year
The Fighter
Hereafter
Inception
The King’s Speech
Shutter Island
The Town
Toy Story 3
True Grit
Winter’s Bone

  1. TRUE GRIT may actually get my butt back into a movie theater seat.

  2. I try to go to the movies at least once a month, but the prevalence of chatterbox teens on their cellphones is making me rethink my dedication. Seriously, at HP7, some girl talked on her phone for 5 minutes and when she finally got off she asked her friend "what happened?"

Hopefully True Grit's core audience will not be teenyboppers.

  3. I go to the movie at least once a week and have seen all of these that are out except for TS3 and Hereafter. And I expect to see TS3 on Saturday night when we babysit.
I am really looking forward to TRUE GRIT.
