Exactly what I'd expect from that team.
Noir was a great anthology, with even the weakest stories rating above average.
The Hunter was just exceptional. It had the feel of the Parker stories and the look of Mad Men. It's hard not to vote for it.
The only reason The Hunter doesn't win is because of Scalped. I only buy it in trades, and the months wait absolutely kills me. I devour each book within hours and then am left with a feeling of moderate despair knowing It's going to be at least two seasons before I get to read the next one.
I've yet to read Britten and Brulightly, Leo Pulp, West Coast Blues or You Have Killed Me, but they are going on the list.

And I must say, I love how you divided the book categories. It's tough to vote against legends in normal "Best Novel" competitions, so having Rising Stars and New Voice categories was genius!Dan Fleminghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12418855013568661590noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3531814195597647415.post-20436081359378870592010-04-20T12:09:50.687-04:002010-04-20T12:09:50.687-04:00Any thoughts on the crime comics that we nominated...Any thoughts on the crime comics that we nominated?Brian Lindenmuthhttp://www.spinetinglermag.comnoreply@blogger.com
